Based at our Fragrance site in Ashford, Kent, our Neuroscience research team are a key part of Givaudan’s global business, supporting teams across all categories. In the role of Neuroscience Researcher you will work as part of a multi-functional team applying scientific knowledge and findings within an exciting and fast-paced business. Situated within an industry-leading facility you will build research and knowledge around Fragrance; Health and Well-Being and Olfactory Perception & Behaviour developing innovative and consumer appropriate methodologies and technologies.

In this role, you will:

  • Apply your knowledge and technical skills in consumer neuroscience, cognitive and experimental psychology and experimental design. In doing so you will develop our understanding of olfactory perception and the influence of fragrance on health, behaviour and well-being.
  • Lead and collaborate on projects with external, academic partners and private companies in order to enhance the development of new technologies to support the business.
  • Develop unique methodologies using psychological and neuroscientific approaches to characterise perfume properties
  • Translate your findings into consumer-relevant insights to aid in the development of enhanced fragrance experiences.

Your professional profile includes:

  • Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience, Cognitive Psychology, Consumer Psychology or related discipline
