Joining our Call Centre, you will be joining our dedicated Reservations team, working alongside a team of Live Chat Sales Experts responsible for finding Sykes customers their perfect holiday with every contact, sharing your great experiences and giving excellent service to our customers and using your skills to recommend products to enhance their holiday.

You will be responsible for ensuring that every contact maximises income per booking, that the quality of the contact exceeds customer expectations and that all Company procedures are adhered to.

The Web Support Expert must have a previous track record in sales within a target driven environment and have a passion for delivering outstanding results and giving our customers a fantastic journey throughout their experience with Sykes.

We are looking for applicants who can deal professionally and efficiently with reservations queries and bookings specifically within our live chat function! You will be responsible for finding Sykes customers their perfect holiday with every contact, sharing your great experiences and giving excellent service to our customers and using your skills to recommend products to enhance their holiday.

As our newest Live Chat Sales Expert you will have the following key skills:
Essential Experience

  • Previous experience of targeted sales
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Proven track record in meeting/exceeding targets
  • IT literate with previous experience of customer databases and software programmes such as MS Office, Android, Tablets and Smartphones
  • Ability to recognise improvement areas and share these
  • Excellent judgement and decision making skills

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous travel experience
  • Previous experience working with on-line chat

Our team of Live Chat Sales Experts will be responsible for the following areas:

  • Respond to on-line chat and other website contacts from the Sykes website in line with department procedures and service guidelines
  • Recognise all opportunities to convert enquiries into bookings, ensuring that your personal booking and conversion targets are met - be able to effectively close sales, promote alternatives, building rapport etc
  • Deliver an outstanding customer journey on every contact which exceeds customer expectations and provide the best customer experience possible – to be measured by Customer Satisfaction survey results.
  • To go the extra mile for our customers, by wowing them with your knowledge and enthusiasm

To succeed in the role, you will be motivated and results driven with an ability to work under pressure. You will be customer-orientated and an excellent team player. You will also be reliable and punctual with good attention to detail.

This is the perfect position for an experience sales professional with a strong track record of working to (and exceeding) agreed targets for booking conversion and maximising sales opportunities

Please note: Applicants must be available to start on Monday 7th June 2021

Commision: A performance-related bonus of £450 per month is available with this vacancy and an OTE of £24,000 per annum.

Hours of work will be 37.5 per week to be worked on a shift rota basis covering evenings and two weekends a month. Department opening hours are 9am - 8pm however during peak times these will be extended to 9pm.
